From June 5th to June 6th, an expert group composed of ASIIN project manager Julia Toshidi Saldasht, Professor of ASIIN, Madukar Chandra, Professor of Chemnitz University of Technology, Martin Welsh, former engineer of the R&D department of IBM in Germany, Du Haizhou, professor of Shanghai Electric Power University, and Shan Junhao, student observer of Zhejiang Shuren University, conducted on-site certification assessment and inspection of our school's computer science and technology major. President Wang Guohui, VP Wang Qimin, heads of the School of Computer Science and Technology and relevant functional departments and representatives of teachers and students participated in the inspection.
The major of Computer Science and Technology is based on the "First-Class Undergraduate Major Program" promoted by President Wang Guohui, and based on the school's deep energy and power industry, focusing on the development needs of "new engineering" and building a characteristic training model of "energy and power + artificial intelligence". The School of Computer Science and Technology has been comparing with the ASIIN certification standards, from the setting of training goals, the optimization of curriculum system, the reform of teaching methods, to the allocation of teaching resources and the improvement of student support services, all of which are striving for excellence and meticulous, reflecting the spirit of unity and struggle of the college.
Wang Guohui said that the school will take this ASIIN certification as an opportunity to further deepen education and teaching reform, improve teaching quality and talent training level, and summarize experience to prepare for ASIIN certification for other majors in the school.
