On 12 December, the Chairman of the Russian Russia-China Friendship Association of the Sakha Republic and Vice-Rectors of the North-Eastern Federal University, Nyuron Maximov, the vice-chairmen of the association, Yulia Nikolaeva and Valentin Nikolajev, visited our University. The vice-Rectors, Wang Qimin, and members of the Faculty of International Education and the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation received them.

The two sides held talks in the conference room of the Institute of International Education. Wang Qimin extended a warm welcome to the Russian delegation and comprehensively introduced the internationalization, professional characteristics and scientific research achievements of our university. He said that China and Russia have a long history of educational exchanges, and he hopes that through this visit, the two sides will explore new paths of cooperation in the fields of education internationalization, exchange of students and scientific research cooperation, so as to realize the beautiful vision of win-win cooperation. Nyurgon Maksimov introduced the main functions of the Russia-China Friendship Association and the basic situation of the Northeastern Federal University, hoping to carry out practical cooperation within the functions of the Russia-China Association, especially the establishment of a regional cooperation center in the fields of education exchange and tourism, so as to lay a good foundation for the cooperation of the two universities in the field of energy and electricity education and scientific research cooperation, and form a multi-faceted and strategic cooperation. Build long-term, stable and mutual trust relations of cooperation.
The two sides had in-depth discussions on international student enrollment, exchange of teachers and students, cooperation in holding international academic conferences and conducting scientific research cooperation, and reached basic consensus. The two sides agreed to exchange visits in the New Year and continue to promote substantive cooperation.
